Summer series starts at The Exchange this Thursday
People from across Chelmsford are invited to The Exchange at High Chelmer this Thursday as the centre launches the first of four, free summer evening events.
From 6pm to 9pm every Thursday until 1 September, visitors to The Exchange will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy a range of entertainment in the brand-new alfresco setting.
This Thursday Jazz duo, Ain’t That Jazz will be serenading shoppers at intervals throughout the evening with a combination of classics and chart favourites with a jazz twist. Alongside the duo, a balloon modeller will be on hand providing entertainment and balloon creations for those with youngsters and those just young at heart.
Mick McDonagh, High Chelmer Centre Manager, said he couldn’t wait for the first official event to take place at The Exchange. “We really enjoy putting on events for people of all ages and with The Exchange we wanted to do something a little different,” said Mick.
“We now have a fantastic alfresco area for visitors to Chelmsford to enjoy on those long summer nights with a great range of restaurants. We have a really varied and interesting programme of entertainment lined up over the next four weeks from a steel band to fire breathers and plenty inbetween. It’s set to be a great few weeks here at High Chelmer.”
