High Chelmer and the Chocolate Factory
High Chelmer is set to get an added dose of sweetness as the centre welcomes its very own chocolate factory to the centre.
On Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 April, youngsters, and those just young at heart, will be able to create their very own chocolate bar just in time for Easter – all for free. Anyone taking part can embrace their inner scientist by donning a lab coat and goggles and add all manner of ingredients into the chocolate machine with the help of a team of willing and able lab assistants.
“This is truly set to be two fantastic days in the centre,” said High Chelmer’s very own mad scientist/Centre Manager, Mick McDonagh. “We’ve been concocting this event for some time and it’s set to go down a treat, especially so close to Easter.
“Our chocolate machine will take pride of place in the heart of the centre and we’ll have a number of master chocolatiers on-hand to help shoppers with their weird and wonderful flavour creations. This is unlike anything we’ve ever done before. Everyone at the centre is extremely excited to see the reaction of the people of Chelmsford.”
As well as the chocolate machine, a whole host of other activity will be taking place from 11am to 4pm across the two days including arts and crafts, a selfie station for those all-important pictures and a golden ticket treasure hunt where children can follow the clues, explore the centre and win a treat.
“We’ve got plenty going on for families to take part in,” added Mick. “All of the activity is free – ideal for parents that have youngsters to entertain during the Easter holidays.”
