High Chelmer is flushed with pride for new loos
The refurbishment of toilets at High Chelmer have been successfully completed after four weeks of works.
The baby changing and feeding facilities recently re-opened to the public and now boasts fresh decoration, new soft furnishings and improved surfaces. Toilet seats have been replaced and smaller versions have been installed for tinier tinklers.
An interactive screen has also been introduced to provide entertainment and educational elements for young children. There is also an all-new, interactive hygiene monitor which enables customers to provide feedback to ensure the facilities are maintained to the high standards High Chelmer commits to providing.
Carley Beck, deputy centre manager at High Chelmer, says the team is thrilled with the results. “The upgrade of our facilities for parents and babies is truly wonderful and it has turned out even better than we expected.
“The space now presents as we have always envisioned for High Chelmer and we hope that our visitors are equally happy with the improvements,” she added. “This is all part of our dedication to further develop the shopping centre as a venue that offers a welcoming and comfortable environment for the millions of people who visit us each year.
“Our toilets have also been awarded with Platinum status at the Loo of the Year Awards 2019, so it’s definitely cause for celebration,” Carley continued. “We’d also like to say a special ‘thank you’ to our customers for their patience and understanding while these essential works took place.”
