Michael McDonagh - Centre Manager
Mick is a Celtic Chelmsfordian. He joined High Chelmer Shopping Centre in 1989 as Deputy Manager, subsequently being promoted to Centre Manager in 1995. In his current role, Mick's principle responsibilities are strategic asset planning, budgeting control and promotions and marketing. He is well placed to understand the needs of the local business community. As Chairman of Chelmsford Retailers Association he was involved in pedestrianisation of the High Street and was a founder member of the Town CCTV Partnership. He also oversaw the formation of the Town Centre Management Partnership. He was Vice -President and President of Chelmsford Chamber of Commerce, also non- Executive Director of North and Mid-Essex Chambers of Commerce. Mick is a long-serving member of the local executive committee and a former Chairman of the Chelmsford Business Forum sat on the Local Strategic Partnership Board.
Mick lives in the old Moulsham area of Chelmsford with his Italian wife, Gina. They have two daughters, a son and three grandsons. In his spare time Mick is an exponent of the martial arts. He holds black belts in two disciplines and is currently studying Tai Chi, Ba Gua and Hsing-l. During the summer months he is known to disappear back to his tribe on the West Coast of Ireland where he snorkels and surfs.

Carley Beck - Deputy Centre Manager
Carley joined the High Chelmer Shopping Centre in June 2008 as Deputy Centre Manager. Carley has a varied career history from Town Centre Management, Partnership Development Coordinator and Projects Assistant through to a high flying position as a Holiday Representative for Thomson based in Majorca spending seven months of sun, sand and sea which she says is “not as glamorous as it sounds but a great all round experience”! In her three years at High Chelmer Carley has successfully completed the BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management and shows a keen interest participating in High Chelmer’s events - even dressing up for occasions! Carley says “I love being actively involved in the High Chelmer’s events. Seeing firsthand the enjoyment amongst our customers is really rewarding and makes all the hard work worthwhile”. Carley is working hard to ensure the 'fun' continues throughout the changes which are occurring and says she “looks forward to the future challenges with all of the exciting changes, long may the Centre's successes continue!”
In her spare time Carley spends time with her family, including her two dogs, and friends, going to the gym and supporting the local retail business economy claiming her job is dangerous to her favourite hobby in life… 'shopping'!!

Karen Howard - Office Administrator
Karen's role currently is office administration and dealing with mall bookings for charities and promotions and tenant liaison on a part time basis having just recently returned from maternity leave. Karen is not an expert in martial arts like her team members however she enjoys keeping fit by attending water aerobics and going to the local gym.

Natalie Rodrigues - Sunday Centre Manager
After working for five years in the beauty industry, she went into middle management for a further five years, before having her two children. She has been the Sunday Centre Manager since 2002 and greatly enjoys being part of the team. In her spare-time, she enjoys going to the gym, cycling and spending time with her children. She feels that it will be inevitable that one day she, too, will succumb to the Tai Chi influence.

Jacqui Dunphy - Office Administrator
She then worked in The City for 15 years in various secretarial/PA roles within the financial sector. She joined High Chelmer in December 2005, where she shares the administrative role with Karen and Natalie.
Jacqui is married and has two daughters and her personal interests include, reading, yoga and cookery.
