High Chelmer continues support for Essex Wildlife Trust as Gold Member
With the continued support of our corporate members Essex Wildlife Trust are able to support many projects.
- Barn owl conservation project, ringing 164 Barn Owl chicks to date.
- Purchased additional land adjacent to their existing nature reserve at Wrabness on the Stour Estuary, providing a strategically important wildlife corridor on which Brent Geese have already be sighted.
- Started a Polecat Project following their natural return to our wonderful county after decades of extinction.
- Black Honey Bees reintroduced at Abberton Reservoir, in partnership with Essex & Suffolk Water and the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders Association.
Without the valuable financial support from our corporate members and partnerships they would not be able to provide ongoing conservation habitat management and maintain and protect their existing nature reserves and visitors centres for everyone to enjoy.
