High Chelmer Shopping Centre is easy to find and to get to via a number of different methods of transport. We are right in the heart of Chelmsford, and a short walk from Chelmsford railway station.
By Car
The Centre is easily accessible by car, located 11 miles from the M25 via the A12. There is a multi-storey car park run by Chelmsford City Council. For Sat Nav to the car park please use CM1 1LE.
We have designated disabled parking spaces located on Level 1 of the Car Park, conveniently located close to our First Floor Centre entrance. These can be found by following the blue painted floor lane. There are several parent and child car parking spaces on levels 3, 5, and 7 in the car park adjacent to the pay stations.
By Public Transport
There are frequent rail services from London Liverpool which is 35 minutes away. Chelmsford station is a short walk away from High Chelmer Shopping Centre. High Chelmer Shopping Centre is on all major bus routes to the town centre.

By Taxi
The nearest taxi rank is on Market Road, closely located near to Chelmsford Library, Cote Brasserie, Banana Tree and Turtle Bay.
Occasionally taxis are not available at Market Road but the main taxi rank located at the rear of Chelmsford railway station (Railway Street) is only 5 minutes’ walk away.
