Join us this June as Chelmsford comes together to celebrate Pride Month across the city.
On Saturday 20 June 2026, the Essex Pride March returns to Chelmsford, led by RuPaul’s Drag Race star Cheryl The Queen. The free, accessible march begins at 11:30am from Marconi Plaza, Chelmsford Theatre, following a pre-march street party from 10am.
As part of the celebrations, local artist Jennifer Flint has created a vibrant Pride-themed window mural, here at High Chelmer, as part of the Chelmsford For You Mural Trial. The artwork celebrates inclusivity, diversity and self-expression, helping to bring colour and creativity to the city centre throughout Pride Month.

The British Heart Foundation is also proudly celebrating Pride Month, championing inclusivity and supporting the LGBTQ+ community across its shops, research labs and offices. Be sure to look out for their vibrant Pride-themed window displays and murals, created to celebrate diversity, inclusion and the communities they serve.
